FOLIANT laminating machines, designed with an operating width of 520 mm, represent an ideal choice for professional single sided lamination in small and medium size printing shops, printing and processing sheets up to B2 size (the largest format is 52 x 71 cm). The machines are also ideal for laminating larger quantities of B3 size offset or digital print (35 x 50 cm). The series fully utilizes the modular concept of the entire FOLIANT project – the availability of two laminating machines, an automatic separator and an automatic sheet feeder allows combining and using them into five different configurations.

Fully automatic laminating line FOLIANT 520 HP 

Two laminating units, the FOLIANT 520T basic model and the more powerful FOLIANT 520HP model, function as the basic component of all configurations and differ only in their maximum operating speed. Both laminating units can operate independently. In this very basic configuration both units require an operating staff of two people - one operator for manual feeding and one for manual separation.
Both laminating machines can be easily supplemented with an automatic separator for separation of laminated sheets. The machines are then operated as semi-automatic lines, with manual feeding and automatic separation, requiring only one person to operate the machine. A modular stand and reception unit for storage of laminated sheets can be supplied as optional accessories.
The more powerful laminating unit, the FOLIANT 52HP model, can be operated as an automatic laminating line equipped with an automatic sheet feeder. In this configuration the modular stand and reception unit for storage of laminated sheets are supplied as standard accessories.

Review of the recommended configurations of the FOLIANT 520 line:

1. 520T laminating unit, manual loading, manual separation, maximum operating speed 7 m per minute. The machine requires a minimum floor space of 90 x 80 cm.

2. 520HP laminating unit, manual loading, manual separation, maximum operating speed 11 m per minute. The machine requires a minimum floor space of 90 x 80 cm.

3. The semi-automatic laminating line FOLIANT 520T consists of the laminating unit FOLIANT 520T and the automatic Separator 520. Manual feeding, automatic separation, maximum operating speed 7 m per minute. An MT520 modular stand and RU520 reception unit for storage of laminated sheets are supplied as optional accessories. The machine requires a minimum floor space of 100 x 250 cm including the reception unit.

4. The semi-automatic laminating line FOLIANT 520HP consists of the FOLIANT 520HP laminating unit and the automatic Separator 520. Manual feeding, automatic separation, maximum operating speed 11 m per minute. An MT520 modular stand and RU520 reception unit for storage of laminated sheets are supplied as optional accessories. The machine requires a minimum floor space of 100 x 250 cm including the reception unit.

5. The automatic laminating line FOLIANT 520HP consists of the FOLIANT 520HP laminating unit, automatic sheet feeder FOLIANT FEEDER 520, and the automatic Separator 520. Automatic sheet feeder, automatic separation, maximum operating speed 15 m per minute. An MT520A modular stand and RU520 reception unit for storage of laminated sheets are supplied as standard accessories. The machine requires a minimum floor space of 100 x 350 cm.

The machines demonstrate all the advantages of the FOLIANT project – outstanding design, easy handling and operation, single-phase electrical power supply, low operational cost, easy changing of the processing format, and independence from the supply of vacuum or compressed air. Laminated sheets do not curl after lamination and are immediately available for further processing. An integrated film cutter, for trimming the laminating film to the required width prior to lamination, is included as a standard accessory.
